Bengkulu - The Sumatran province of Bengkulu exported 1,165 tons of rubber worth US$3.6 million in June, 2010, the head of Bengkulu`s trade and industry service said here on Tuesday.
Most of the rubber exports which were in the form of semi-finish product (SIR type) were shipped to the United States through Bengkulu`s port of Baai and neighboring province`s port of Boom Baru, in Palembang, South Sumatra.
The acreage of Bengkulu`s rubber plantations is recorded at 118.616 hectares with production of 80,339 tons per annum.-Antara, 14 July 2010-
