Jakarta - The government will soon finish the revision of Presidential Decree No. 80/2003 on Good and Service Procurement in an effort to increase the use of home-made products, a senior minister said.
"We hope that the final draft of the decree will put an emphasis on the essence of the revision namely increase use of home-made goods," Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa said here on Tuesday.
He said that in the decree the tender process would be regulated in such away so that it would not be complicated but easier.
To avoid misappropriation, project tenders will be called and announced through a website and the tender will be held transparently through an e-procurement facility.
"So, there will no longer be complicated tender processes," the minister said.
He said that although the ceiling of the tender value will be raised from Rp100 million, the requirement for the appointment of goods and services would remain tight.
"Although there is an urgent need, the appointment would not be made at will," he said.
Minister Rajasa said that the final draft of the revision of the presidential decree would be finalized on Tuesday, during which the relevant ministers would submit the results of their previous coordination meeting for discussion and for inclusion in the final draft.
