London - Indonesian Foreign Minister Marty Natalegawa attended a conference on Afghanistan in London on Thursday.
He came to conference accompanied by the director general for Asia Pacific and Africa T.M. Hamzah Thayeb and the director of West Europe Dewa Made Juniarta Sastrawan and Indonesian ambassador to Britian Yuri Thamrin.
The conference was opened by British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and President Hamid Harzai of Afghanistan.
Marty was among around 70 representatives from across the world attending the conference aimed at creating a new momentum for Afghanistan's development.
The conference which was initiated by Germany, France and Britain discussed the future of Afghanistan and one topic on its agenda was offering to talk with moderate Talibans.
A day before the conference Marty met with US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and on the sidelines of the conference he also planned to hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from a number of countries.
