Nusa Dua, Bali - ASEAN leaders on the first day of the 19th summit here will discuss four main issues, said an official information from the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
     It said that on the first day of the summit, the ASEAN leaders would discuss the achievement of ASEAN Community 2015, and the implementation of ASEAN Charter.
     The implementation of the ASEAN charter covers three main pillars namely politics and security, economy, and social culture.
     The third issue to be discussed by the ASEAN leaders on the first day will be on various aspects of cooperation between ASEAN and the countries grouped in East Asia summit, to be attended by the leaders from ASEAN, China, Japan, South Korea, India, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, and Russia.
     The ASEAN leaders will also discuss the fourth issue on ASEAN Community in a global community of nations while exchanging views on the latest situation in the region, global economic recovery, energy and food security, climate change, and relevant issues of ASEAN.
     Earlier, the top ASEAN officials have discussed four draft documents to be produced in the 19th ASEAN Summit and other related summits.
     The four draft documents were Bali declaration on ASEAN Community in global community of nations, East Asia Summit declaration on the principles of mutually beneficial relations, East Asia Summit declaration on ASEAN Connectivity, and a joint declaration on Comprehensive Partnership between ASEAN and the United Nations.
